Excellent value.
Tracey Hiscox –
Loving the newer lightweight wheel chair, easy to take apart into smaller pieces, and this I can lift into the car rather than having help. The lighter weight and the dismantling makes it easier to handle.
Julie Golding –
I bought my chair in 2012 I have been very happy with it , easy to use and manoeuvre , store in car.
Having my wheelchair has opened up the world to me enabling days out I had not been able to enjoy before, also easy access to cinema or theatre.
I would highly recommend this chair
Neil the Pedant –
We purchased this as a replacement for another lightweight wheelchair (no longer available) we bought a little over a year ago, that one being our first. We had thought that previous one OK, but over time it showed itself as being more flimsy than lightweight, and bits started either breaking or becoming unreliable.
This Roma wheelchair, however, is streets ahead of our old one! It feels much more solid (absolutely nothing wobbling or loose or making odd noises), and if anything is lighter than the old one (so much so, in fact, that it seems to swim around a little in our estate boot – I usually bungie the wheelchair to the hooks in the side of the car). The lightness helps my wife move around a little on her own when she needs to.
The whole thing collapses nicely, and has no problems fitting upright (and front-to-back) in our Mondeo estate boot. The footrests are a joy to remove and replace, the armrests move up out of the way easily (to ease self mobility) and even come off if required.
The seat and back are comfortably padded, and very easily removable (velcro) for washing. The wheels also pop off easily when required, but that’s only something I played with once as I don’t normally have to take them off. They seem nice and solid under normal circumstances, with no float due to the removal mechanism.
Finally, the rear carer brakes are a godsend – it’s very difficult finding a *self* mobility wheelchair with carer brakes as well as passenger brakes (obviously, they’re the same breaks, but can be controlled by either person). This wheelchair, though, has the added benefit that the carer brake handles have automatic “clips” can can easily lock the brakes on from behind, and that pop off easily as well when required (the passenger can also lock the brakes separately as normal). This feature is great, and not advertised by the listing nor immediately obvious form the picture. Also, the handles themselves are solid and comfortable, with individual finger grips (to keep your hands in position). The brakes themselves are solid, too.
The backrest is not quite as high as our previous wheelchair, but still comfortable. The majority of the back folds easily backwards and down without grief (at the black hinges you can see on the picture halfway up the backrest).
Finally, the rear base has a couple of solid foot grips for the carer to push on to help tip the wheelchair back when addressing kerbs and the like.
All in all, very highly recommended.

Great product
Pauline –
My husband says this is an easy wheelchair to push and I find it easy to manoeuvre myself using the large wheels but I do advise buying wheelchair gloves to stop blisters.
